LIFT A THON FORMAT
This will be a “last lifter standing” ladder format. There will be pre-determined weights, and the lifter will have 1 minute to make the lift. When a lift is failed within the minute, the lifter is out. Lifters have the option to skip any selected weights.
Aria Bremner, of the Harrisburg Weightlifting Club, has been selected to represent Team USA, Florida State University, and the HWC at the 2018 FISU University World Championships.
She will have to travel to Poland in mid-September, and must pay her own way. USA Weightlifting does not fund this trip, so we are opening up a fundraiser to help her get there.
As someone who has only been competing for 2.5 years, it is a very prestigious honor to make a World Team this early in a career, and we are very excited for and proud of her. Please help her raise the funds necessary to make the trip. It will be around $4,000 for her and a coach.
